Onam Celebration
Onam, the festival of Happiness, Peace and prosperity was celebrated in great fervor in our school on 10.09.2019. The children of middle school hosted the celebration in their own distinctive style as the pookolam at the entrance gave a spiritual ambience to the occasion. A special assembly was held where a mellifluous Onam song by a team of girls marked the beginning of the cultural fest. A set of elegant ladies captivated the audience with their ethnic costumes and gravity-defying Mohiniyattam. The celebration added up not only to their joy but also to their knowledge as a special speech was made on the legend of Onam, the king Mahabali. A group of tremendous boys rocked the stage with their thunderous Chenda Melam. More colours were added to the celebration as our young talents were rewarded with awards for the various competitions conducted. The celebration ended as Mr. Balaji, The Dean, wished everyone joyfully. The celebration may end but not the cherishable memories it gave!
