Margazhi Maha Utsav 2020
The three day Margazhi Maha Utsav celebrated at our school from 21 December 2020 to 23 December 2020, was an extravaganza of dance and music wherein both vocal and instrumental artistes captured the fascinated attention of the audience. Similarly, young Dr. GSKians performances thoroughly entertained the gathering.
Vocalist Ms. Sudhas devotional songs, keyboard concert by Master Sanjay of class XII, Master Lalith Kiran of class IX, Master Sarvothaman Ganesh of class VI, a dance performance by Ms. Keerthana, (an alumnus of Dr. G. S. K.), Ms. Shivani of class VII and Ms. Shrinithy of class VII were the highlights of the first days programmes. The second day was decked with an array of amazing performances which included a musical ensemble by the teachers of the Department of Art Education, classical dance by Ms. Laksha Shivkumar and Ms Darshini of class XI, and whats more, the symphonic music of Ms. Vardhana of class IX, Master Mukesh Anand of Class VIII, and Ms. Varshini of Class VII, while Veena player Amirtha Varshini of class VIII kept the audience attuned to her notes. An impressive performance by a young music troupe led by Ms. Radhika Ganapathiraman comprising artists Ms. Sruthinudha, Mr. Sarangapani and Mr. Sarvesh Santhanam spotlighted the third days celebrations. Besides, twin sisters Ms. Harini and Ms. Srividhya (alumni of Dr. G. S. K.) gave one of their best performances on the same day. Furthermore, the audience were absorbed by Ms. Harini Ayyappans showing as well.
With the support and encouragement of our Chairman, Correspondent, C. E. O, Principal and in-charge teachers, all the events were well organised and well attended.
