The Voyage to the past - Echoes of History & Unearthing Antiquity

The Department of Social Science, in collaboration with the Kumbakonam Archaeological and Numismatic Society, successfully organized an Archaeological Expo on 10th January 2025.The Kumbakonam Archaeological and Numismatic Society showcased 25 varieties of fossils and 75 antiques, providing students with an invaluable opportunity to view and learn about rare historical artifacts. Ms.Selvi and Ms.Nesapriya from the Society guided the students to explain their exhibits. A total of 31 exhibits were presented by our school students, highlighting their creativity, research skills, and understanding of archaeology. These exhibits included models, charts, and replicas, demonstrating the students' enthusiasm and dedication.

A captivating Audio-Visual Show,added an engaging technological dimension to the event and enhanced the learning experience for attendees.The Archaeological Expo was a remarkable learning experience, inspiring students to explore and appreciate the significance of archaeology and cultural heritage. It fostered a sense of pride in our history and encouraged students to pursue their interests in related fields.A special and resounding thanks goes to Mr. Ayyappan, whose vision, dedication, and meticulous planning brought the incredible Voyage to the Past event to life. We also extend our warmest appreciation to the team of strong, supportive teachers who stood by him every step of the way, contributing their time, energy, and creativity to ensure the programs grand success.
