Glimpses of Mathematical Territory
Mathematics gives us hope that every problem has solution. In order to make the day glorious, several activities were done by students and teachers.
The eminent mathematician, Mr Srinivasa Ramanujam's marvelous theories and concepts were so exciting to learn.
The celebration started with a brief introduction on Srinivasa Ramanujam's life history and achievements.
Grade wise activities were conducted based on the following topics
- Clock & 2D shapes
- Live demo on basic Geometry
- Equivalent Fractions using paper plates and thread
- HCF, LCM using paper cups
- Integers & Decimal
- Factorization
- Power Point Presentation on Vedic Maths and Applications of Mathematics by Grade IX & XI Students.
To encourage the students to share diverse perspectives,Group activities like Solving puzzles and Sudoko were conducted.
To motivate, inspire, encourage and reward children for their quest for knowledge,quiz competition based on logical reasoning was conducted for various age groups.
A visit to Ramanujan's house and museum was organized to build the empathetic skill of the students and also exposed them to the world of calculations and equations.The essence of the programme was to impart the knowledge of significance of mathematics in life.
Students really enjoyed the day keeping themselves active and busy feeling happy about the easiness of the subject. It was fun filled day.
