Margazhi Mahautsav 2023
Schooling at Dr GSK goes beyond the classrooms into the wider creative world outside. In addition to a strong emphasis on academics, our students are taught a variety of creative activities that stimulate their minds and help them express their ideas and emotions.
To imbibe the same, Dr GSK organised a three-day MargazhiMaha Utsav in the month of Margazhi to nurture the culture and tradition in the young minds.
Day 1:
The event unfolded with an array of cultural performances. Vocalist Ms J.Shrusti of Grade IX and Master.R.Saikrishna of Grade VII on the Mirdangam enthralled the audience with their musical treat.Followed by Vocalist Ms Hamsa Gayathri, Mr Somaskandhan on the Mirdangam and Mr Srikanth on the Violin, Mr Vignesh on the Gadam captivated the arena with divinity.The budding musicians of Grades III V gave away the musical ensemble to set the vibe for the day.The students of Grades VI X gave an instrumental performance on keyboard and violin, which transported the audience into the world of tunes.Dance performance by Master. Lakshavidhyabaran of Grade VIII enchanted everyones attention.
Day2:
The musical extravaganza was unveiled with an invocation dance by students of Grades VI-VIII and the group vocal performance was by students of Grades V - VIII.Vocalist Ms.Varshini, Ms.Amirthavarshini of Grade XI, Master. Gaurav of Grade 7 immersed the audience with their musical treat.The kids of Grades VIVIII performed various instrumental ensembles. Group Dance performance by Grade IX & XI drew everyones attention.
Day3:
Grade VIII & IX students invocated the programme with their Classical fusion dance, which made everyone dive into the mood of the day's music.Vocalist Ms. Sahithya Santhanam of Grade 10 & Master LuckshaVidhyabharan of Grade 8 made the aura so musical with their performance.Vocal Performance by Dr GSK matric School students fascinated the audience.Vocal performance by the teachers of Dr GSK Memorial school Ms Madhumitha Department of Art, Ms Janani Department of Mathematics and Ms Priyadharshini department of Physics became the cynosure of the evening. Music Ensemble by the ART DEPARTMENT was the artistic extravaganza of its entirety.The classical dance by Ms. Sornakamatchi of Grade XII enchanted the audience.
