INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2020-2021
"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life
To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body a school prefectorial board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection. The investiture ceremony for the academic year 2020-21 was held on the 9th October 2020The Guest of honour for the event was Dr. Preethi Chandramohan, Director-ST Hospital, Kumbakonam. The chief guest for the event was Mr. A. Shanmuganathan, Master Chief Petty Officer (Retired), Sub Lieutenant, Indian Navy.
With benediction of Shri. G.K. Ramamurthy Chairman, GKR Foundation & the fullest support of the Management and constant guidance by Ms. A.M. Jayanthi Principal, Dr. GSK Memorial School & Ms. Suganya sivamani Principal, Dr. GSK Matric School the ceremony began with the prayer song followed by the welcome speech rendered by the both principals, who encouraged and inspired the elected leaders to the dutiful and responsible in their address to the gathering.
The outgoing head boy and head girl shared their experience and gratitude to the teachers and management in their speech. Pinning of the badges to the elected students by the Principals of the both the schools. The Oath taking ceremony was led by head boy Mr. Parethe.M.V of Grade 12, Dr. GSK Memorial School & Mr. Thamizhazhagan of grade 12, Dr. GSK Matriculation school and they took the pledge. In his address, Mr. A. Shanmuganathan the chief guest appreciated the efforts by the school providing opportunity to the student to take part in activities like this. He also congratulated the newly appointed school prefectorial board preparedness to take responsibilities. He ask them to use the opportunities and balance well with academic to excel both.
Dr. Preethi Chandramohan Guest of honour, she commended the school for having thought of an innovation to do away with the post of head boy & head girl to provide an equal opportunity to all the students in administration and decision making.
Mr. Murali Rao CEO, GKR Foundation wished the student leaders in completing the responsibilities entrusted to them in the year ahead.
Shri. G.K. Ramamurthy Chairman, GKR Foundation mentioned the efforts taken by the school in promoting children democratic and social skill and offered his support in the future. His words of advice were highly motivation to the students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. P. Ganesan Vice Principal, Dr. GSK Matriculation School.
