Dr.GSK Heritage Club Inauguration
The grand inauguration of the Heritage Club took place on 23 August 2024 at Dr. G. S. K.Memorial School. The distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Andavar Kani, Treasurer of Chola Mandala Kalagham, inaugurated the Club. Mr C. Gajendran, Superintendent of Post Offices,Kumbakonam Division, was the guest of honour.
The Chief Guest, Mr Kani, delivered a powerful address, underscoring the significance of safeguarding our cultural heritage. He lauded the participants for their proactive involvement, leaving all attendees with a profound admiration for one of India's architectural masterpieces.
Earlier in the day, Mr.Kani led an insightful Heritage Walk at the historic Iratheswarar Temple, Darasuram, a UNESCO World Heritage site attributed to Raja Raja Chola II. His captivating narration highlighted the temple's architectural splendour and deep historical significance, providing participants with an unforgettable learning experience.
