From Concept to Creation
Our school spearheaded a one-day workshop on the 3D printing curriculum, featuring an in-house 3D printer, exclusively designed for students of Grades 6 to 8, to immerse them in this transformative technology.
The workshop, exquisitely coordinated by the Computer Science Department under the leadership of Ms. Kavitha (HOD-CS), was supported by Ms. Kamalapriya (PGT CS), Ms. Nirmal Bharathi (TGT CS), Ms. Suganya (TGT CS), with technical assistance from Mr.Sethuraman and administrative support from Ms.Anusha and Ms.Jayalakshmi.
Ms. Sivagami Ganesh (PGT CS) delivered a comprehensive overview of 3D printing technology, covering essential topics. She further provided a live demonstration of the FDM printer, enriching students understanding of this revolutionary technology. Following this, Ms. S.G. Kavitha (TGT English) engaged the participants with an interactive session on the working of a 3D pen, blending creativity and technical exploration seamlessly. To enhance the learning experience, a quiz competition was conducted via Easytest, where the top two teams from each school were honoured with medals.
The workshop offered a hands-on, immersive experience that not only introduced students to the world of design, engineering, and manufacturing but also inspired creativity and technical acumen. Each participant received a certificate of successful completion, marking their engagement with this cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future.
