MUN 2024
On 14th December 2024, the Social Science Department of our School hosted the highly anticipated Model United Nations (MUN) 2024. This prestigious event saw the active participation of nearly 150 students from three distinguished schools: Blossom Public School, Thanjore; Velammal Public School, Thanjore; and Dr. GSK Matric School, Pazhaya Gudalore.
The MUN event encompassed five diverse and intellectually stimulating committees- General Assembly,United Nations Development Programme (UNDP),United Nations Peacebuilding Programme (UNPBP),All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM),All India Federal Meet (AIFM)
The event was coordinated by a dedicated team of 28 student organizers, whose planning and execution ensured the smooth flow of the program. The guidance and leadership of the Social Science Department were instrumental in the success of this event. The department's head, Mr. Ayyapan, along with Assistant Head Ms. N. Rajeswari, Ms. Bahavani Event Head and the team of dedicated teachers including Ms. Hemasri, Mr. Baladhandapani, Ms. Vaijayanthumala, Ms. Subbulakshmi, Ms. Mahalakshmi, Ms. Vanitha, Ms. Nirmala, Ms. Jayadurga, and Ms. Indra Devi, provided exceptional support from registration to hall arrangements.
