Be Brave, Be Indian
74th Republic day was celebrated in our school with great eclat. The gathering was welcomed by Principal Ms. A. M. Jayanthi.
Mr. P. Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kumbakonam graced the occasion as the chief guest.
As a mark of honour, National eve commenced with flag unfurled and the march past by NCC troop of Dr. G. S. K followed by the students of four houses namely Cygnus, Polaris, Sirius, Canopus .
Thematic Patriotic song and fusion dance were staged fantastically by the girls. Trilingual Patriotic speech in Tamil, Hindi and English were appreciative.
The Chief guest Mr. P. Mahesh Kumar shared his views about confidence ,integrity ,values and emphasised to carry out things with true conscience and dignity. He insisted to be ethical in life and lead life with honesty and further added to beware of evil practices prevailing in the society.
He also highlighted that this is the first Republic Day celebration that he has presided over as chief guest after he has been appointed as DSP at Kumbakonam. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards management for having him as chief guest for the Republic day celebration.
