A Two-Day seminar on Training Children with Special Needs
Dr. GSK Memorial School organized a two-day seminar on 'Training Children with Special Needs' on 30.09.24 & 01.10.24.
A Teacher Trainer, Mrs. Raji Suresh,founder VDHYA- Online training center Conducted the sessions. The participants were Early childhood coordinator Ms. Anusha, Special educator Ms. Vanitha, Student counseller Mr. Murugesan and the Coordinators of all grades.
The first-day session focused on addressing classroom challenges and the needs of children with special needs, including the importance of teacher presentation, building rapport, and fostering a supportive environment. Key takeaways included strategies for effective handling and motivational techniques.
On the second day, the seminar engaged in activity-based learning and understanding children with special needs, engaging teachers through interactive and practical knowledge. Key takeaways included group activities and video presentations that explored the emotions, challenges, and behaviours of children with special needs.
The seminar ended with a token of appreciation for Mrs Suresh. Thanks to our management for arranging such a useful training for the teachers
