72nd Republic Day Celebration
The 72nd Republic Day Celebrations were held in the school campus on 26-1-2021. The day started off punctually as planned with high energy and essence of patriotism. Students of Gr.III to XII gave various performances. They sang patriotic songs. They also danced to the tunes of songs exuding energy, showing their devotion to their motherland. The students who delivered the Republic Day special speech on English, Tamil and Hindi took the audience into surprise as the fluency and content they delivered with patriotism was extraordinary and professional.
Chief guest Lt. Col S.K.Raju hoisted the Indian national flag and appreciated the Dr. GSKians for celebrating their nationhood following all the important protocols. He urged the young students to think beyond state boundaries, personal differences and called for a unified approach to consider India as one. The audience were gripped by the heightened effect of patriotism when Lt. Col S.K.Raju asserted, "My blood has a distinctive tri-coloured impression."
Welcoming the gathering, in her message to the Students and Teachers, Ms. A. M. Jayanthi, Principal, Dr. G.S.K.Memorial School, emphasized, "We should be knowledgeably aware of the value of India being a sovereign state."
Maanasvi M Rao, a budding writer, and daughter of Mr. Murali Rao, CEO Dr. GSK Group of Schools, read out a poem she had authored. Student Council Members of the school led by Head Boy Parethe, and Head Girl Nilamozhi of Grade XII staged a formal March-Past.
With the guidance of Mr. Murali Rao, CEO Dr. GSK Group of Schools, ably supported by Ms. A. M. Jayanthi, Principal, Dr.G.S.K Memorial School, Mr. Paramaguru, Dean Sciences, and Mr. Balaji, Dean Humanities, all the programmes were well organised. Teachers, students and parents were also present on the occasion. The event was a standing example to show that Dr. GSKians can organise the event with utmost dedication and punctuality. Just like this successful celebration, we hope to continue to produce more success stories in the years to come.
